This was the first song I ever wrote on my guitar. It was about a girl that lived next to me in college that I was good friends with and I didn't know if I wanted to ruin our friendship by trying to start a relationship. It was tough and in the end nothing came to fruition.

Verse 1:
Creating friendship but growing fonder
Never knowing about the next step
When’s the right time, create the tight bond
But is it out of line
Late nights, always thinking bout, how things should be
How I wanted to see, the future make it a reality
Personal conversations alone in a bedroom
Hating when they’re over so soon
Two people two different worlds, combination deadly but sweet
As the frosting on the cake, something’s going to make it complete
Difficult decisions from day to day, never knowing if my time will pay

The affection that I feel inside
But afraid her reaction will hurt my foolish pride
Understanding this relationship will never be the same
Am I willing to sacrifice the pain

I’m down on my knees as I take it with ease
To think about our chemistries and how I feel her energy
Along this quest I second guess
How I am obsessed and afraid to confess that I love more than just her dress
She always tells me I’m too sweet
But now I’m caught up in it too deep man I thought I knew me
I’m going to try to make the best of it before I give it a rest and quite
But now she knows, I let it slip
